FRP Atlantic Championship Series Round 2 Mid Ohio

Round 2 of the Atlantic Championship Series took place at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course. After having a productive practice day on Friday learning the freshly paved track, Matthew and the K-Hill team were ready for qualifying. During Q1, Matthew put the #24 car on pole, despite having some engine issues throughout the session, which the team quickly addresses after Q1 ended. Matthew started Race 1 from pole and was leading the race until lap 11 when the #24 car experienced an engine issue forcing the team to retire the car.

The K-Hill Motorsports team was able to get a back-up car to the track and prepped for Sunday mornings Q2 session, where Matthew qualified on pole for Race 2. Matthew had some great battles with his teammate in the early stages of the race, and lead the remaining of the race resulting in a P1 finish.

Cannot thank the K-Hill Motorsports team enough this weekend for keeping us on track and preparing a fast race car. Incredible effort and execution by the entire team. Also a big thank you to all of our sponsors that are supporting us this season, as well as friends and family that came out to support us. Next up: Round 3 of the Atlantic Championship series which will be held at Pitt Race!
